What we fix
Roof repair in Pensacola
Every repair comes with photos from the roof and a short written note on what we found.
Flashing and chimneys
Most leaks start where the roof meets something: a chimney, a wall, a vent pipe.
Vents and penetrations
Cracked pipe boots and loose vents are small parts that let in a lot of water.
Lifted or missing shingles
We replace what's gone, check what's around it and tell you if the rest is on its way out.
Ridge caps and valleys
The lines water follows. We re-set, re-seal or replace them.
Tile re-set
Slipped or broken tile replaced, and the paper under it checked.
Leak finding
Water shows up far from where it gets in. We follow it from the stain back to the roof.
Repair or replace?
We would rather fix a roof that has years left than sell you a new one. We say so when it is the other way round.
We lean toward replacement when the damage is widespread, the deck is soft in several places, or repairs keep coming back. You see the photos either way.
We lean toward repair when
The problem is in one spot and the shingles around it are sound
The deck under it is dry
The roof is within its expected life

Leaks
If water is coming in
Here is what happens, in the order it happens.
Call, or text a photo
(850) 555-0100 or (850) 555-0101. Say that water is coming in.
Catch it and protect what's under it
Move furniture, put a bucket under the drip and poke a small hole in a bulging ceiling so it drains.
Stay off the roof
A wet roof is slick. We'll tell you whether it is a tarp, a quick repair or a wait for dry weather.
We call back first thing
We are not staffed overnight. Messages left after hours are returned the next business morning, and a visit outside our hours costs more.
Repair questions
How do you find a leak?
We start at the stain, check the attic for wet wood and stains, then walk the roof above it. Flashing and penetrations come first.
Will a repair match the old shingles?
Close, not exact. Sun fades shingles, so a new one is brighter at first. We show you the options before we start.
Do you do emergency tarps?
We tarp when it is the right call and the weather lets us on the roof safely. A tarp is temporary: it holds water out until the repair.
Have a stain on the ceiling?
Send a photo and we'll tell you what we think before we visit.
